city of gems

    With K. Finneran

I set parts of myself in gold, tight in a small bezel. A slick little fortress hard to scale, unyielding all with an attitude that stood right there beside myself It delivered me here, I took my time and ate well. Many nights it's been this way Just you and I, until carried away into a field that was really a city. No lights No glimmer within this and now, no emptiness in the stone wall, Just winter, snow, and waiting.
